I am grateful and humbled today.
I recently celebrated 19 years of sobriety—6,942 days in a row. Still counting the days.
My husband makes a little number like this that I have carried in my pocket every day since I got sober. My step-son gave me my 19-year chip—accountability and support from immediate family.
I also connect to the broader recovery community to get the next level of accountability and support. We just came off of a wonderful vacation with family for the last two weeks. I didn’t get to any meetings during that time. Just getting back to my routine of four meetings a week. So, I am missing them—like the air that I breathe. It’s such a part of who I am now.
Thank you to all those living this sobriety life with me. You know who you are. And, to those not here yet, I am saving a seat for you.
Because—you are now my mission.

Out of my mess came my purpose. Service. Helping others to live sober and stay sober. And, now, I can help lead the way for others out of loneliness and darkness of addiction.
I am praying for you to join us (even though I don’t know you yet)
You will join the good sober life.
Then you will help others do the same.
" For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”
Philippians 2:13
